Lincoln Park Community Center recognized by Texas Spring Cypress Chapter of The Links, Inc.

Everyday, hundreds of seniors fill Precinct One’s community centers and find similar experiences– a space for fellowship, education and physical fitness.

For fostering a wholesome and enriching environment in the heart of Acres Homes, Precinct One’s Lincoln Park Community Center was recently named “Health and Wellness Partner of the Year” by the Texas Spring Cypress Chapter of The Links Inc. , in recognition of the outstanding facilities and wellness programs it provides to residents.

In a recent video message, Commissioner Ellis told The Links members at their annual gala, that their “partnership is a representation of what makes Lincoln Park such a special place: Neighbors helping neighbors succeed, grow and thrive.”

The Links is an international not-for-profit professional association for women of color, established in 1946.It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer organizations, with over 15,000 members in 42 states, the District of Columbia, The Bahamas and the United Kingdom.

Precinct One is fortunate to have community partnerships with organizations like the Texas Spring Cypress Chapter of The Links, Inc. to help execute the range of services provided at community centers like Lincoln Park. Their outstanding work makes it possible to provide a high level of service to Precinct One residents.

Precinct One is eagerly expanding its programs and services to ensure that even more educational, social and recreational opportunities are available to community members of all ages and backgrounds.
