Frankie Carter Park

This park is named after Frankie Carter Randolph (1894-1972), who was a major force in Houston's civic and cultural development. Politically, she forged a grassroots progressive movement in Houston. Her favorite flower, the McCarthy Rose, grows abundantly in Frankie Carter Randolph Park. Go on a walk around the park, enjoy one of the many different playgrounds, play a game of tennis, baseball, or football or have a party at one of the pavilions.
