PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Improvements to West Gulf Bank between I-45 and the Hardy Toll Road will address traffic concerns, street flooding and unsafe conditions for pedestrians.  The proposal includes upgrading the existing two-lane asphalt street to a four-lane concrete roadway. The current roadside ditches would be replaced with storm sewers to alleviate street flooding. Six- to 8-foot-wide sidewalks will be constructed on both sides of the road to expand access to businesses and other destinations along West Gulf Bank.

The Project will occur in two Phases:

  • Phase One: West Gulf Bank from I-45 to Airline (1 mile)
  • Phase Two: West Gulf Bank from Airline Dr. to the Hardy Toll Road (1.5 miles)
