Led by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, the city and county jointly reappointed Ric Campo to another term as chair of the Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority. Here’s Commissioner Ellis’ statement on the reappointment:
“Today I was proud to Co-Chair the meeting to appoint Port Commission Chairman Ric Campo and Board of Pilots Commission Chairman Reginald McKamie. Thanks to our friends in labor for their support. We must ensure our economic engine is strong, and we must continue to tear down barriers to opportunity.
