Our Barbara Jordan Park is named after the former U.S. Representative and State Senator. Barbara Jordan grew up in Houston’s Fifth Ward and was a tireless advocate for her community, rising to the top of her field while breaking down racial and gender barriers. The Barbara Jordan Park is a great place to get active, either on our jogging trail, exercise stations or with some friends on the basketball or tennis courts. Barbara Jordan Community Center, which can be reserved for community events, is also on the park grounds.
